Cheryl Cole - Love Killer
I was not expecting to like Cheryl’s new single. I don’t know why people are hating on the song, it’s actually pretty good. The dubstep might sound a little generic and her vocals may not be the greatest, but it’s pretty catchy. Her vocals on the chorus needs a little more umph lol, but other than that I think it’s a solid single. Not sure if it would do as well as ‘Call My Name’ though.
Things I can’t wait to see/wait for:
- Windows 8: I’ve seen it and used the preview thingo a little, I just can’t wait for the release. I love how they brought over the live tile stuff from Windows Phone 7 to Windows 8.
- Windows Phone Apollo aka Windows Phone 8: I love the Windows Phone 7 OS, but I hate how it doesn’t allow for things such as dual-core or quad-core chips and a higher resolution screen. I want to see Nokia kick some butt when it’s released. I would love a Lumia 900. It’s a beautifully designed phone, but I want a higher res screen and a spec sheet that sounds less out-dated.
- Slim Macbook Pro & New iMac: New Macbook Pros going to be announced in June at WWDC. Seriously cannot wait. There are rumors that it will have Apple’s Retina Display, if they do… Then that’s cray. I need a new MBP actually, so I’m definitely getting one. Maybe not straight away… Maybe when they refresh it at the end of the year or early next year. There are also rumors that they’re going to include the Retina display on the iMacs, if so… Screw the Macbook, give me an iMac. (Probably would still go for the MBP. Portability)
- Nikon’s Affordable Full Frame DSLR: It’s just a rumor right now, but OMG… I would love a full frame camera. I’ve always wanted one, but they were always too expensive for me. I’m hoping the price for it would be roughly a little more or the same as the D7000. The only thing I’m worried about if they release it and I buy it, is lenses. I would only have a 50mm that would work on it. Hopefully they release a cheap 18-55 full frame lens or something.
I would have posted about this crazy course yesterday, but I was told by everyone to just sleep. Yesterday I cracked. I broke down, I had a melt down, I couldn’t handle it anymore. I’ve spent many hours thinking of ideas and concepts, but my tutor didn’t like any of them. So after the mid-project review, I cried HAHAHA. Seriously, I had a melt down. How embarrassing, crying at uni. I’m such a baby.
Thank the lord my class is filled with wonderful people. My friends helped me so much. They were understanding and most of them were actually like me at the time, but at home lol. They stayed back with me for a little and helped me figure out ideas. They gave me tips and they just made my day.
Basically what happened was that my presentation didn’t go well. I presented my ideas and photos, tutor didn’t like them. Liked the idea a little but told me to go and think more. Told me I should restart and everything… Then I started thinking about history and Interactive-based design… A presentation, a 1500 essay, a 2000 word essay and also the intervention thing… Due on one week, all to be completed in 2 weeks. Yeah… No pressure.
This course is seriously stressful. Whenever I tell people about my course, they think it’s easy. I get comments like “Oh… You only go 3 days a week? I go for 5” and “How can taking photos be so stressful? HAHA”. They all think I’m lying. Figuring out concepts and creating something that’s simple but complex isn’t easy to do within 2 weeks. I’m sick of people thinking that just because it’s a design course, that it’s easy. It’s not.
Sorry for the photo spam!
